Walk Georgia

Walk Georgia is a University of Georgia UGA Cooperative Extension banner program that supports physical activity in local communities. The initial 12-week program had an average of 3,000 participants per session. In its first 5 years, there were over 35,000 participants.

The user records physical activity to earn Walk Georgia "miles". Miles are used within the program to travel the state map and unlock county facts. Leader boards encourage team support, recognition, and competition.

Role: Technical project manager, product/visual designer, web and interaction designer/developer, partnered with programmer and subject matter expert. Teamed with marketing director and wellness committee.
